Our Championship Golf Course
The hallmark of Bentwinds is its beautiful and challenging championship 18-hole golf course. The 6,466-yard course, sculpted from the natural splendor of the gently-rolling countryside, features fairways of lush Bermuda and greens of Bentgrass. Golfers of all skill levels will find excitement on this course. Our Website's Course Tour provides an insight into our variety of fairways which present a suitable challenge for the expert, yet are forgiving enough for the weekend player.

Our History
Bentwinds history dates back to 1965 to Sippahaw Country Club. Sippahaw Country Club, located on the outskirts of downtown Fuquay Varina was the original golf course where 266 members leased property from Jack Blanchard to play golf.

Jim Bullock, Kenneth Cotten, and Joe Chappell were nominated on as Board of Directors and were an integral part of Sippahaw Country Club’s transition to Bentwinds Golf and Country Club in 1976. Club members voted to purchase land for a new golf course and made that purchase in 1977 from WDS Farms owned by FB West Jr, James Dickens, and James Slaughter

By 1980 “Bent-winds” golf course and Pro Shop were operational and construction was underway of the pool and tennis courts. In 1986, the course name officially became Bentwinds Golf and Country Club and the club celebrated the ground breaking for the clubhouse that stands today. Our four hundred members include more than a score of the original members from the days of Sippahaw Country Club where Bentwinds history begins.
